General Description:  This tract has four pivot irrigated quarters of Ulysses & Keith Silt Loam, 406.31 acres are 0-3% slope, 160.1 acres 3-6% slope, 53.6 acres 6-15% slope.  Section 9-8-40 is located southeast of the intersection of road SH-67 on the north & road SH-15 on the west.

Pivots water:  114.41 acres (NW); 123.0 acres (NE); 112.96 acres (SW); and 119.03 acres (SE).  Water right #15893 priority date 12-2-1968 covers N ½ 9-8-40 with 315 authorized acres. General Description:  This half section is north of Hwy 24, and west of road SH-14 which is a concrete hard surfaced road connecting road SH-65 a ½ mile north with I-70 exit 12 a half mile south.   The Kyle Railroad runs east & west on the south side of the property.  Soils are level 263.23 acres 0-1% Keith & Goshen silt loams and 14.67 acres Ulysses silt loam 1-3% slope.

There is one water right #15527 of 584.0 acres.  The priority date 8-2-1968 covers the S 19-8-40 (Susan Hawkins Katelman) and N 19-8-40 (Hawkins Equipment) described as Tract #3 in this brochure.  This S 19-8-40 has three irrigation wells, two north and one south of the railroad.  The SW     19-8-40 well is allocated 138 acres of the water right and authorized 225 acre ft of water at 625 gpm.  It supplies a windshield wiper pivot of 114.0 acres.  The SE 19-8-40 well is allocated 144 acres of the water right and authorized 165.5 acre ft of water at 825 gpm.  It supplies a windshield wiper pivot of 40.0 acres.
