BigIron Realty has an immediate need for an experienced Accountant
The self-motivated candidate should be solution oriented and comfortable in a small, fast-paced growth environment. The position will handle accounting/bookkeeping, weekly bill pay, monthly financial statements, and budget tracking. The company will outsource year-end tax preparation.
As an accountant, you will report to the Operations Manager and be responsible for a wide variety of accounting tasks for related entities.


• Perform general ledger accounting duties including journal entries, month-end closing activities, financial statement preparation,
   account analysis, and reconciliation.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Prepare accurate bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Reconcile inter-company transactions.
• Responsible for Accounts Payable.
• Responsible for review and processing of all company expense reports.
• Assist with financial analysis, budgets and forecasts.
• Maintain payroll data and process employee pay.
• Compile weekly commission reports and checks for commissioned contractors and employees.
• Process deductions for taxes, healthcare, wage garnishments, child support and tax levies.
• Prepare W-2/1099 and other tax reports and documents.
• File monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax returns.
• Assist with tax schedules for annual income tax returns.
• Complete business registrations and annual filings.
• Research, analyze and provide meaningful and accurate information and report as required.
• Other accounting and administrative projects as assigned.


• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum of 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Highly Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, & Outlook).
• Knowledge with QuickBooks.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, and detail oriented.
• IT/Computer skills a plus.
• Knowledge of real estate and agricultural industries are a plus.
